RESPONSIVENESS ~ FROM DESIGN TO DELIVERY™

  • Custom Rubber Corp Upgrades Quality Capabiltieis
Custom Rubber Corp. has added significant quality inspection capabilities that utilize the latest in automated vision inspection equipment.

In the last 12 months, Custom Rubber Corp. has installed two different systems.  The first is a vision inspection machine, complete with a bowl feeder, conveyor belt, and two inspection cameras that is currently capable of inspecting two different parts.  More information about the system is in the Quality section of our website:  Quality Control.

In addition, Custom Rubber Corp. has installed two camera systems that are used in overmolding metal with rubber.  Historically, production relies on the machine operator to place the inserts or metals into the mold correctly before starting the next cycle.  While this works most of the time, occasionally there are mistakes and mistakes with metal inserts cause mold damage which affects customer delivery and costs Custom Rubber money to repair the damage.  The two new systems use cameras to confirm all inserts or metals are in place properly before allowing the mold to start the next cycle.  You can read more about these systems in the Quality section of our website: Quality Control.
