When faced with a sealing challenge, a Tier 3 automotive supplier approached Custom Rubber Corp. asking for help. Together, a unique seal was designed, using some features commonly found in o-rings, but with an ID shape that could not be found in any catalog. The product was manufactured using a high-temperature silicone, perfect for the application in question.
Custom Rubber Corp. is a long-time supplier to Tier 2 and Tier 3 automotive companies with a wide array of products. Our parts are used for noise and vibration dampening, muffler hangers, bumper stops under seats and tight-tolerance intricate seals for electronic sensors. We also make convoluted boots for wiring harness covers and cosmetic seals for brake lights. Many of these components require metal bonded to rubber, secondary assembly and/or prototype work, all of which Custom Rubber excels at providing.
