When it Comes to Protecting Sensative Instruments, Rubber is the Material of Choice
A leading company in the medical instruments industry for pets, contacted Custom Rubber Corp. because they were getting complaints about damaged product in the field. The product in question is a blood-pressure monitoring device with a dial face and adjustment dials on the top.
Custom Rubber Corp. assisted with the design for two different molded protective rubber bumpers; one for the dial gage (the instrument is shown face down in the picture), and one for the adjustment knobs on top. The molded rubber bumpers are glued into place as the last part of assembly. Once added to the product, customer complaints and damaged instruments became a thing of the past.
