Custom Rubber Corp. has the expertise and the technology to take on projects to protect just about anything. In this case, a fragile ferrite core, pictured in the center, that is made up of 4 smaller cores held together with a high-temperature apoxy, is covered with a thin layer of rubber to provide some cusion and extra structural integrity. The molding required very precise tooling, but tooling that was forgiving enough to handle the slight variations in the ferrite assembly.
The material used for the project is a special, slightly condutive rubber that actually enhances the electrical function of the ferrite in the application.
