Molded rubber hood bumpers are relatively common. Custom Rubber Corp. molded the hood bumpers pictured here for a number of years. The design centered around a threaded bolt that had an irregular-shaped head. When the rubber bumper part was molded over the bolt head, the irregular shape ensured that when the rubber bumper was turned, the threaded bolt also turned. In this particular case, there is no adhesive required which kept the cost down.
