Custom Rubber Corp. is a family owned and operated designer and manufacturer of specialty elastomeric (rubber) components. CRC products are used in a variety of industries including major and small appliances, oil and gas, medical, automotive, electronics, material handling and consumer products. CRC is located on E. 55th in Cleveland, OH with easy access to Interstate 90 and Route 2.

CRC currently has an open position for a hands-on Process Engineer. We are looking for a person who is comfortable working as part of a team and able to meet responsibilities and achieve goals in a changing environment. All candidates must be excited about hands-on responsibilities, this is not a desk job. The following is an overview of the responsibilities of the Process Engineer position.

Process Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Develop processing parameters and documentation for all new parts / first time runs. Currently Custom Rubber Corp. has over 3 new molds under construction.

2) Lead and complete engineering projects. Currently, Custom Rubber Corp. has open engineering projects for the integration of a vision system, a number of demolding/labor saving devices.

3) Resolve production quality issues and make process improvements to improve safety, increase throughput, and/or improve ergonomics and automation. Custom Rubber Corp. has over 40 molding presses and we run a wide variety of products; there is no shortage of opportunity for improving processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

1) Assist with mold changes when necessary

2) Improve and maintain 5S housekeeping

3) Ensure documentation is correct when jobs are released to production..
