Back in June, Custom Rubber Corp. hosted a tour for the ARPM (Association for Rubber Products Manfuacturers). The Association's magazine,
Inside Rubber was recently published and it contains an extensive article about the plant tour and the types of innovatie things Custom Rubber Corp. is doing to develop the next generation as well as improve their operational efficiencies and safety. The entire article is available here:

Specifically, Custom Rubber Corp. shared information about:
- Automated vision systems both for part inspection and for mold damage prevention. The financial return and improvement in customer service has been significant.
- Manufacturing operations changed to a 24x7 operation. There were some challenges with the transition that Custom Rubber Corp. overcame and the article outlines these.
- A consortium with other area manufacturers to host tours for High School students. The tours are designed to get students excited about manufacturing and possible careers making things.
- A partnership with a local high school to bring back career-tech or vocational education. Custom Rubber Corp.'s goal is to create Raider Manufacturing in Shaker Heights, OH - a student run manufacturing business similar to Cardinal Manufacturing.
