Joint team develops custom water filtration part

For a complex new water-filtration diaphragm, Custom Rubber Corp brought together six chemists from our partner companies to develop a compound suitable for a variety of applications. The resulting compound allowed Custom Rubber Corp. to make a single part that met the needs of 60% of the customer's products.

One finished product, three requirements, three suppliers

Custom Rubber developed and supplies rubber components for a voice/data over power line device company. The various components include a compound that has very tightly controlled conductivity properties from one supplier, a non-conductive material from another supplier, and a high-grade, oil resistant Nitrile from a third supplier. Custom Rubber selected the suppliers with the chemists and compound development staff appropriate for each component in the assembly.
