Isolators
A difficult automotive application required this component with a formed-tube
insert to be bonded to a rubber outer cover during vulcanization. The variation
in insert height posed a particular challenge in order to insure proper shutoff
on the insert and minimize the occurrence of rubber filling up the ID. Custom
Rubber developed a precise injection transfer mold with a unique knockout board
to insure high productivity while minimizing scrap. (Continued
