Molded Rubber Foot Pads

These rubber foot pads were designed when a manufacturer of high-end wheel chairs Custom Rubber Corp. seeking assistance with the development of a new, rubber-covered aluminum foot plate for a motorized chair. The rubber cover is manufactured with one of Custom Rubber's non-marking black materials and is also lightly texturized to eliminate any possibility of slipping. (Continued below.)

To help keep costs low, the foot pad is built and bonded in two separate steps. First, the rubber is molded into shape and then, in secondary operation, this product is glued to the aluminum casting which eases the dimensional tolerance requirements of the aluminum casting. Following the successful launch of the initial design, Custom Rubber worked with our customer to launch a larger version of this sturdy rubber foot pad for a different wheel chair.
