Rubber to Metal Encapsulated

Custom Rubber assisted in the design of this bumper product used in an industrial setting. The application required a right-hand and a left-hand version. After consulting with the customer, we recommended a total encapsulation of the re-enforcing metal stiffening plate. This eliminated the need for costly adhesive application prior to molding and/or assembly after molding. (Continued below.)

The metal part is covered on all sides, but provides counter-sunk holes for the fastening bolts to secure the bumper in place. The photo illustrates the number of iterations and prototyping that Custom Rubber Corp. and worked through with the customer to insure the best possible solution in the end.
