100 lb. Rubber Coupling with Three Metal Inserts

Custom Rubber was the first choice by this customer when their existing supplier went out of business. The existing supplier had been mixing the material and Custom Rubber went through more than ten different trials in an attempt to replicate the physical characteristics of the rubber and the aggressive bond between the three metal inserts and the rubber. To test the part, the customer places the approximately 36" diameter ring into a devise that squeezes the entire part under 1,000 psi and rotates the top insert opposite the bottom insert for more than one hour. The bond between the rubber and the metal have to be strong enough that no sign of bulging or separation is acceptable.
