Muffler Hangars
Custom Rubber Corp. has a number of tier two and tier three automotive customers
and has deep experience in molding exhaust hangers. These parts feature an
outer band of metal that keeps the exhaust and muffler system suspended in
the event that the rubber reaches the end of it's life. The design is such
that there is no metal-to-metal contact and all the vibration inherent in the
exhaust system is absorbed by the rubber inside the metal ring. (Continued

The rubber is bonded to the metal band during vulcanization
which results in a bond that exceeds the tear strength of the rubber. The two
different types of muffler supports shown in this photo are examples of proven
designs that Custom Rubber Corp. can replicate for a new customer, or perhaps
even improve upon.
