Large Bumpers

This bumper measures roughly 12"-14" wide by 34" long by 1.5" thick. The large rubber bumper is bonded to a stainless steel plate during vulcanization. The finished part is used on large mining dump trucks. The open-box bed is typically hinged at the rear and the front rests on these pads when in the down position. (Continued below.)

The raw material chosen for this part is ozone resistant, has excellent compression and vibration dampening capabilities, and has been formulated in conjunction with the adhesive to insure proper bonding. Custom Rubber Corp. also sources the metal plate from one of our partners who is excellent at laser-cutting plate steel and insuring that the plates do not warp or bend.
