Molded Rubber Industrial Plugs
Custom Rubber Corp. has designed and now manufactures a complete line of industrial rubber plugs
for one of our customers. The diameters of the plugs range greatly in size; some are a mere 0.25" across while others span up to 14". Custom Rubber Corp. also utilizes a wide variety of materials in forming the plugs since they are used in all types of hazardous and aggressive fluids. Aircraft fuel, super-heated
oil, and cleaning solvents are only a sampling of the substances our plugs have to withstand. However, despite the challenges posed by these types of substances, Custom Rubber Corp., in conjunction
with our raw material partners, has engineered materials necessary to meet the demands
of every application to date. (Continued

The molding and manufacturing process occurs in two steps in order to prevent leaking. First, the rubber plug is molded, and then the threaded
brass compression bolt and the metal washers are added. As the bolt is tightened, the plug body expands
and guards against leaks.
