Molded Rubber Boot for Advanced Metering Gas Pump

Custom Rubber Corp. worked with a manufacturer of energy measurement systems to design, develop, and manufacture this molded rubber smart boot cover for the end of a gas pump. The molded rubber boot was engineered to snugly fit onto the end of a gas pump and to detect the amount of gas vapor in the air via a sensor that was integrated into the boot. (Continued below.)

In the developmental stages of the collaboration, Custom Rubber Corp. and the customer explored the potential of a number of designs, utilizing Custom Rubber Corp.'s "CPR" program.
