Small Gray Molded Rubber Grommet

When a leading manufacturer of HVAC equipment was in need of an experienced rubber molder and manufacturer to supply them with a new style of rubber grommet (or mount) for a small condenser motor, they got in touch with Custom Rubber Corp. Within 48 hours of Custom Rubber Corp. recieving the inruiqry, the customer had received not only the quotation, but also some initial design assistance to create a more manufacturable (and lower cost) part. The customer agreed to share additional information about the required functionality and the mating parts of the grommet, and, after discussing all the details with the customer over the course of a few conference calls, Custom Rubber Corp. suggested a few changes to the additional design. These changes reduced the overall molding costs (between tooling and piece price) by approximately 15%, but did not negatively affect the functioning of the product, as demonstrated in an initial prototype. The customer approved all the design changes and Custom Rubber Corp. quickly began manufacturing the molded rubber grommet.
