The harsh environment
inherent in these industries is something with which the engineers
at Custom Rubber Corp. and our material compounding partners are very
familiar. We have molded parts out of Hypalon, HNBR, Silicone and other
materials—each time helping our customer choose the most cost effective
material that will perform in the harsh drilling and processing environment.

Early involvement in design results in superior electrical connector
A supplier of high-voltage cables for the oil and gas industry came to Custom
Rubber Corp. for help developing the rubber spark-proof ends for their product.
Their new product provided a means for safely and easily connecting 1000-amp
components without any worries about dangerous sparks. We helped our customer
realize their design, developed creative molds that reduce the number of
parting lines, and have developed a self-lubricating material to insure a
tight but easy connection every time. Now in full production, we add rubber
components to metal parts they supply, and they complete the assembly. The
line includes 32 part configurations in all, both plugs and receptacles in
male and female, plus color-coding for international installation.
