Molded Rubber Debris Seal

A customer came to Custom Rubber Corp. because they were in need of a new supplier and knew that Custom Rubber Corp. had the rubber molding capabilities to meet their needs. Since the customer only had a sample of the product and no prints, they were dependent on Custom Rubber Corp.'s design and engineering expertise to replicate the design and to recommend a suitable rubber material based on the product's environment and application.

This small molded rubber seal is inserted into a medical saw to protect the critical components from dust and debris. To ensure that the seal could be safely used in a medical environment, Custom Rubber Corp. used FDA approved ingredients and a heat resistant material in the molding of this rubber part. The molded rubber seal is engineered to be pressed in place from the bottom; it is then fitted into the housing so that the narrow section of the molded rubber seal can hold a moving shaft securely in place. Our rubber design and rubber engineering expertise allowed Custom Rubber Corp. to discover and suggest ways to improve the design and the product's durability, suggestions which were readily accepted by the customer.
