Small Molded Rubber Medical Seal
Custom Rubber Corp. began manufacturing this small rubber seal at the request of a company who needed to find a new supplier for this product. Because the rubber seal is utilized in the medical field and provides a barrier between
the handle of an instrument and the body-piercing needle or syringe, the raw rubber material has to meet very extensive and detailed specifications. For example, the compound has to be composed entirely of FDA approved ingredient, be latex free, and be non-bleeding and color. These requirements, however, make it very difficult to create a compound that can also be molded. By drawing upon its rubber molding and manufacturing expertise in addition to utilizing its strategic partnership with various custom
rubber mixers, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to swiftly submit a sample for testing, which quickly passed inspection. (Continued below.)

The customer had existing molds which had been utilized by their old supplier and which Custom Rubber Corp. was able to accept and utilize. With only a few minor engineering modifications, all done in collaboration with the customer, the molds were soon ready to run in Custom Rubber Corp.'s existing equipment, and molding of these rubber seals quickly commenced.
If you are having a problem with your existing rubber supplier, call Custom Rubber Corp. to see about moving existing tooling.
