Molded Rubber Sway Bushings

Pictured below are molded rubber sway bushings used for electronics. Fit and dimensional tolerances of these rubber sway bushings are critical to proper function. An integral part of an automation assembly, the performance of the electronic components relies on the rubber's dynamic response. These molded rubber sway bushings function as guides and fit into the tubes of an automation assembly. There was very little room for variation in the dimensions when molding these rubber parts, specifically on the outer diameter which needs to fit securely into a compression nut. The interior holes for four small gage wires are molded into these rubber parts and serve as guides. The size and location of the holes keep the wires properly oriented in the automation assembly, and remain critical factors for measuring performance.
