Molded Rubber Diaphragm

When an existing customer began having difficulties with one of their older molds, they contacted Custom Rubber Corp. for help finding a solution. The customer, a manufacturer of electro-thermal actuators, was having problems with their rubber diaphragm. (Continued below.)

The primary source of the customer's problem was their existing tooling, which had been used to mold the rubber part for over 25 years. Over time, the mold had worn down from age and use, resulting in rubber diaphragms that did not meet the customer's standards. Aware of Custom Rubber Corp.'s rubber engineering and rubber molding expertise, the customer relied upon our design experience to develop a solution.

By working with the customer's specifications and configuration requirements for the rubber gaskets, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to design and construct a new mold. Thanks to Custom Rubber Corp.'s rubber engineering and rubber design expertise, this new mold produces rubber diaphragms that meet the customer's standards and are free of mold imperfections, effectively sealing the actuators and preventing any leaks from escaping through the walls of the rubber diaphragm.
