Industrial Machinery Masking Band

After struggling for some time with a manual process of masking large gears prior to a plating operation using pieces of tape, this customer approached Custom Rubber Corp. for assistance in designing and manufacturing a masking band that would stretch over the gear and effectively mask the part in a fraction of the time previously required.

After determining the proper amount of stretch required to keep the masking ring in place and mask against the plating, Custom Rubber Corp. designed the rubber injection tool and produced a number of parts for the customer. They have worked so well, and can be re-used so many times, that the repeat business for Custom Rubber Corp. is practically non-existant.
