Small Condenser Motor Grommet

A leading manufacturer of HVAC equipment contacted Custom Rubber Corp. to manufacture a new style of rubber grommet, or mount, for a small condenser motor. Along with the quotation, which was submitted within 48 hours of receiving the inquiry, Custom Rubber Corp. offered design assistance that could possibly reduce the overall cost of the rubber component. The customer agreed to share information on the mating parts and the required functionality, and, after a few conference calls, Custom Rubber Corp. suggested a few changes. The changes reduced the overall costs (between tooling and piece price) by approximately 15%.

After prototyping the rubber grommet to ensure that the design changes didn't adversely affect the functionality, the rubber grommets were approved.
