Second Generation Broadband Over Power Lines Design

The size of the second generation of our customer's overhead broadband over power lines (BPL) unit is over twice as small as the original product, only one of many design improvements that were made to the product. During the production of this second generation unit, Custom Rubber Corp. was again a part of the design time, assisting with the design and manufacture of a rubber lining with the capability to absorb the various expansion and contraction rates of the magnetic material as well as the insulating covering. While various improvements were made to the product, some parts were of a high-enough quality that they did not need to be improved, including the specially engineered rubber compound that was present in the first product. This rubber material is able to insulate the unit without interfering with its electronic workings.
