Molded Rubber Debris Seal

A customer came to Custom Rubber Corp. in need of a new supplier with the rubber molding capabilities to meet their needs. Because the customer only had a sample and no prints, they needed to rely on Custom Rubber Corp.'s design and engineering expertise to replicate the design and recommend a suitable rubber material based on the application.

This small molded rubber seal fits inside a medical saw, sealing off critical components from dust and debris. Custom Rubber Corp. used FDA approved ingredients and a heat resistant material when molding this rubber part to ensure it could be safely used in the medical field. The design of the molded rubber seal is engineered to be pressed in place from the bottom and held in the housing, while the narrow section of the molded rubber seal holds a moving shaft in place. In order to make the part more durable, the customer relied on Custom Rubber Corp.'s rubber design and rubber engineering expertise to improve the design.
