Rubber Guard Gasket

Designed for use in the telecommunications and utility industries, this molded rubber gasket seals fiber optic cables inside underground pipes. The rubber sealing gasket has several unique features that make it the perfect seal for the customer's application. (Continued below.)

The distinct contours and shape of this molded rubber gasket make it a very effective one-way seal. The holes in the molded rubber gasket provide an air-tight seal to fit securely over the plastic conduit. Around the outside edge of the circular molded rubber gasket are raised rings. These raised rings enable a coupler to be easily placed over the molded rubber gasket. However, when an attempt is made to remove the coupler, the rings along the edges of the gasket roll up.

This one rubber part is designed to replace a rubber and plastic part, reducing the number of components, and also eliminating a costly plastic process from the assembly operators.
