Small Rubber Medical Seal

This small rubber seal is used in the medical field as the barrier between the handle of an instrument and the needle or syringe that goes into the body. The raw material used to mold the seal has extensive requirements that make it very difficult to compound, including specifications to be latex free, non-bleeding, color fast, and contain FDA approved ingredients. Custom Rubber Corp.'s strategic partnership with a number of different custom rubber mixers led to a quick submission of material for testing which allowed molding of the part to proceed quickly. Because the customer was transistioning from their old supplier to Custom Rubber Corp., they possessed existing molds for the rubber seals. Custom Rubber Corp. accepted the existing molds and worked with the customer to determine what minor modifications would be required to run the molds in existing equipment.
