Antenna Mounting Seal
The seal graced the hood of many vehicles in the mid 1980s. It formed the
seal where the antenna met the hood of a car. The outer, curved surface is
visible to the consumer and had to be defect-free with a fine finish. The inner
parts included two raised nubs for placement and a small square slot to allow
for the mounting of the antenna to the side panel of the car. (Continued

The rubber material was formulated for outdoor use and
did not fade or bloom, but retained a crisp black color for the life of the
vehicle.
