Utility Light and Transformer

Custom Rubber Corp. manufactures these rubber electrical housings for one of the leading manufacturers of temporary power and temporary lighting. The parts shown in this photo are both used for temporary lighting - they are the housings that hold the light bulb and the protective cage over top of the light bulb. The smaller part in front, also has an opening in the side which is used for a 110 volt receptacle. (Continued below.)

The rubber material used in these UL Approved devices is a specially formulated vinyl-nitrile, proprietary formulation that resists degradation from oils and other solvents while insulating the user from the electrical current contained inside the rubber housing. The yellow color is designed to match the customer's well-know color scheme which increases brand awareness and brand recognition. Custom Rubber Corp. has extensive experience in designing, material selection, and manufacturing rubber connectors and rubber insulators for the electrical industry. Rubber materials can be developed with all ranges of conductivity - from completely non-conductive, to moderately conductive - depending on the application requirement.
