Molded Rubber Sway Bushings

The molded rubber sway bushings pictured below are used with an electronic automation application. Functional properties such as fit and dimensional tolerances are critical to these rubber sway bushings. The rubber's dynamic response is vital to the automation assembly's electronic components. Specifically designed to serve as guides, these molded rubber sway bushings fit into the tubes of an automation assembly. Though the configuration does not look complicated, there was very little room for variation in the dimensions when molding these rubber parts. Amongst other dimensional requirements, the outer diameter of the molded rubber sway bushings needs to fit into a compression nut. Molded into these rubber parts, interior holes serve as guides for four small gage wires. Based on size and location, the holes are critical to performance, as they keep the wires properly oriented in the assembly.
