Capacitor Rubber Seal

This customer came to Custom Rubber Corp. because their old supplier just couldn't deliver on time consistently. Using our network of strategic rubber raw material suppliers, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to quickly identify and qualify three different materials; 1) a non-conductive EPDM rubber, 2) a vibration dampening, low permeable butyl rubber, and 3) a high-temperature viton material. This rubber seal is used in a hybrid capacitor produced by one of the leading companies serving the Defense and Aerospace industries. The capacitor is used in applications requiring high power in a compact package and depending on the rubber material used, has a full temperature range of -55C to 125C.
