Molded Rubber Diaphragm

An existing customer that manufactures electro-thermal actuators contacted Custom Rubber Corp. in need of assistance with one of their existing products, a molded rubber diaphragm that acts as a seal in one of the customer's actuators. (Continued below.)

The existing tooling the customer had been using in molding this rubber part was over 25 years old. Due to natural wear and tear on the tool, the customer was having trouble producing quality rubber parts with the existing mold. Once again, the customer relied on Custom Rubber Corp.'s rubber engineering and rubber molding expertise to find a solution.

Working from the customer's specifications and the original mold, Custom Rubber Corp. designed and built a new mold, which is capable of molding all of the crucial configuration requirements of the rubber diaphragm's design. Thanks to Custom Rubber Corp.'s rubber engineering and rubber design expertise, the new rubber diaphragms produced from this mold are free of mold imperfections, providing an effective seal and preventing leakage through the walls of the rubber diaphragm.
