In need of protective covering for their units, a leading manufacturer of hand-held bar-code scanning equipment contacted Custom Rubber Corp. for assistance in designing a mold and manufacturing a a new rubber cover. Customized for durability and versatility, each cover had to stand up to daily wear-and-tear, have a sure-grip texture, and also have a number of optional cut-outs to allow for customers' personal grip preferences (such as the pistol grip).

Using the 3D model of the plastic case, Custom Rubber Corp. designed a sleek rubber boot that fulfilled all the company's needs. Thanks to its flexible structure, the new boot eaily slips on and off while maintaining enough rigidity to protect the scanner from any damage during daily use.
