Protective Rubber Instrument Cover with Integrated Belt Clip

Our customer came to us with a problem. Their electronic measuring devices were failing in the field due to normal abuse: being dropped on the ground, knocked off a table, falling out of loose holsters, etc. (Continued below.)

Custom Rubber Corp., working with the CAD model of the plastic housing, designed a snug-fitting protective rubber case to wrap around and protect the measuring device. The bottom of the rubber case includes two protruding ridges that protect the sensitive measuring probe from falls.

To enhance the original design, Custom Rubber Corp. worked with the customer to integrate a standard, off-the shelf belt clip. The rubber flap on the back of the part holds the plate for the clip, and a round, locking head is exposed. The clip can easily be removed, but never comes loose from the case.

This rubber case is molded using Custom Rubber Corp.'s proprietary material: non-marking, non-blooming, ozone resistant rubber.
