Rubber Foot Rest Pads

Custom Rubber assisted the manufacturer of high-end wheel chairs with the development of a new, rubber-covered aluminum foot plate for a motorized chair. The rubber cover has a light texture to eliminate any possibility of slipping and also uses one of Custom Rubber's non-marking black materials. (Continued below.)

The foot pad is molded and then glued to the aluminum casting in a secondary operation in order to ease the dimensional tolerance requirements of the aluminum casting, which has kept the cost down. After the successful launch of the first design, Custom Rubber worked with our customer to launch a larger version for a different wheel chair.
