A leading manufacturer of hand-held bar-code scanning equipment contacted Custom Rubber Corp. to assist in the design and manufacture of a rubber cover for their scanning units. The cover had to be durable, have a sure-grip texture, and also a number of optional cut-outs, depending on what options (like the pistol grip) their customer chose.
Custom Rubber Corp. came through, designing a sleek rubber boot, based on the 3D model of the plastic case. The new boot slips on and off easily, and helps the scanner survive the drops and bumps that happen every day.
