Custom Black Rubber Shaving Brush Handle
After successfully assisting in the design of and manufacturing an all-rubber handle, an ultra-high end maker of men's shaving razors and brushes needed a matching shaving brush. (Continued below.)

We recommended silicone rubber to achieve the non-marking, clean finish, and soft touch required to meet the customer's demanding needs. After receiving samples of other consumer products produced from a similar material, the customer agreed that silicone rubber was the right choice.
The job required a precision mold with intricate texturing and the incorporation of a threaded brass metal insert for added stiffness and we also prototyped a number of different configurations of the brass insert to optimize the mechanical lock between the silicone rubber and brass. This reduced the cost and potential for cosmetic glue contamination of the part by eliminating the need for a costly adhesive. The customer's demanding cosmetic requirements showcase our excellence in cosmetic manufacturing.
