Custom Rubber Cookware Handles

When a leading manufacturer of high-end cookware needed handles for their entire line of products, they turned Custom Rubber Corp. for assistance in designing and manufacturing the rubber handle grips they desired.

Custom Rubber Corp.'s experience with designing and molding rubber products meant that it could manufacture a unique product for each type of cookware. The picture here shows the rubber handle for a distinguishing tea pot, which was bonded to a polished metal stem during vulcanization by utilizing a heat-activated adhesive. Also shown is a similar handle for a wok. However, this handle has additional mechanical locks incorporated into the design in order to further increase the bond between the rubber handle and the metal bar. Just below the wok and the teapot are two small handles that are placed on the top of the teapot, one round and one with the manufacturer's logo. In both cases, the rounded rubber handles were bonded to small female threaded brass inserts that are bolted to the tea pot lids.

Finally, a stand-alone silicone rubber handle grip is visible. This was designed for all the other standard pots in the product line and is structured to fit over each pot's metal handle. Custom Rubber Corp. molded two sizes of the silicone rubber handle. These were then packaged using a stretch film on backer board and subsequently boxed 10 handles to a small carton with multiple small cartons going inside the master pack.
