After a number of successful projects, an existing customer came to Custom Rubber Corp. for some more specialty rubber dust covers and rubber flaps to protect various connections on specialized communications gear. The communications equipment is designed for use in extremely hazardous environments; fires, chemical spills, military settings, etc. The rubber used was a proven silicone rubber with excellent heat resistance and the durometer/hardness was specifically chosen to insure the plugs and covers would stay in place but also be flexible enough to remove at a moment's notice.
