Molded Rubber Guard Gasket

These molded rubber gaskets are designed to seal the fiber optic cables used by the telecommunications and utility industries inside underground pipes. Several unique features were incorporated into the designs of the rubber gaskets (pictured below), features which make the products the perfect seals for the customer's application. The distinct shape and unique contours of this molded rubber gasket were specifically designed to make it an extremely effective one-way seal. The holes in the molded rubber gasket fit snugly over the plastic conduit, providing an air-tight seal. Around the outside edge of the unit are raised rings, which facilitate easy placement of a coupler over the the molded rubber gasket. However, these rings are engineered to roll when an attempt is made to remove the coupler, guaranteeing that the unit will be securely fastened in its position once it is in place.

This single rubber unit has been engineered as a replacement for a combined rubber and plastic part. This reduces the number of components necessary for the product while also eliminating a costly plastic process from the assembly operators.
