Second Generation Molded Rubber Broadband Over Power Lines

In developing the second generation of our customer's overhead broadband over power lines (BPL) unit, the size of the unit was reduced by more than half. As with the first generation product, Custom Rubber Corp. was involved in assisting with the design and manufacture of a rubber lining that could absorb the differing expansion and contraction rates of the magnetic material as well as the insulating covering. Although the design of the product changed slightly, the same specially engineered rubber compound was still used to continue to ensure that there would be no interference with the electronic workings of the unit.
