These days plastic wireways are ubiquitous, and they work well in many applications. For this particular customer, there was no plastic wireway that would fit inside their telephone switch box. They also needed something that would withstand extreme temperatures and not crack or become too pliable.

Custom Rubber Corp. assisted in the design and ultimately the production of a rubber wireway. The strip of rubber has deep grooves of a few different widths to accomodate a number of different wire sizes. The wires are simply pressed into the grooves and the rubber flexes to allow insertion and then springs back into place to hold the wire right where it should be.
