Jack-Screw Padding

After extensive prototyping with materials and part design, Custom Rubber Corp. assisted a transplant automotive sub-supplier with this unique part design. The rubber basket encapsulates a rectangular metal nut that is fastened to the front seats in a car. The metal nut travels back and forth on a precision jack screw to move the seat forward and backwards. The rubber is there to insure that the ends of the travel are silent—no click when the nut runs into the back or front stop. (Continued below.)
