Stabilizer Bushing With Greased ID

Custom Rubber Corp. worked with one of our tier-one suppliers to take over the production of this job. When we received the original compression mold, it required two people to manufacture and the flash was very difficult to remove. Regardless of this, Custom Rubber Corp. was had completed the PPAP and was producing production parts within a very tight time frame as dictated by the end customer.

Shortly after receiving the business, Custom Rubber Corp. purchased a brand new injection molding tool with our customer's approval and at our expense. With the new injection molding tool, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to significantly reduce the manufacturing cost and improve part quality.

We have worked hard with our customer to determine an objective measure of the quantity of grease required on the ID of the rubber stabilizer bushing - the grease aids the assembly by reducing the friction between the rubber stabilizer bushing and the bent metal tube it is attached to. In the end, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to establish clear criteria and also insure consistant quality for the delivered product.
