Compressor Grommets

Custom Rubber Corp. and our customers have known for some time that different compressors require different levels of vibration dampening and vibration isolation. There have been many instances when the same part has been manufactured from different durometers (different hardness) rubber formulas in order to optimize the system. One way to make it easy for the end assembler to be sure they have the correct part for the correct compressor is to use different colored rubber formulations. Another way, not pictured here is to coat the exterior of the rubber part with a splattering of latex paint. Painting the parts does not last as long - if the system is disassembled 5 years from now, the paint may be gone - but it certainly works for initial assembly and is often more cost effective.
