Small Condenser Motor Rubber Grommet

A leading manufacturer of HVAC equipment contacted Custom Rubber Corp. needing assistance in developing and manufacturing a new style of rubber grommet (or mount) for a small condenser motor. In addition to providing a quotation within 48 hours of receiving the inquiry, Custom Rubber Corp. included with the quote initial design suggestions that had the potential of reducing the rubber component's total cost. The customer agreed to share details on the mating parts for the grommets as well as the required functionality of the parts. Custom Rubber Corp. examined all the information and, after a few calls to confer with the customer, suggested a few changes to the rubber grommet. In total, these design changes were able to reduce the tooling costs and the piece prices, ultimately decreasing the overall costs by approximately 15% without any adverse effects to the part's functionality.
