Document Control / Quality

Custom Rubber Corp. is a family owned and operated designer and manufacturer of specialty elastomeric (rubber) components. CRC products are used in a variety of industries including major and small appliances, oil and gas, medical, automotive, electronics, material handling and consumer products. CRC is located on E. 55th in Cleveland, OH with easy access to Interstate 90 and Route 2.

CRC is a growing company; increasing employee count by 30% in the last year. Currently, we have an open position for an Document Control / Quality person. We are looking for a person who is comfortable working as part of a team and able to meet responsibilities and achieve goals in a changing environment. The following is an overview of the responsibilities of the Document Control person.

Document Control / Quality - Primary Responsibilities

1) He/She is responsible for creating and maintaining work instructions including but not limited to PIFs, PPIFs, routers, defect photos, acceptance criteria, operator processes, release sheets, and all other production related documentation.

2) The Document Control person is responsible for assisting with the investigation when Customers have quality issues (Customer Complaints and External CARs) and when there are internal quality issues (Internal CARs). This includes tracking progress, keeping the customer informed, performing and coordinating statistical analysis, internal trials, testing, and/or process changes to determine root cause. The latter may involve interaction with other Custom Rubber employees and also direct contact with Custom Rubber customers and suppliers. All these must be completed in a responsive manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

1) Gage calibration

2) Acquire and maintain records related to MSDS/SDS

3) Document control and electronic filing for such things as Material Certifications, Mill & Barwell Production Sheets, 5S Sheets, etc.

4) PPAP documentation and measuring when needed

5) Back up for phones in the office
