    Big and Tough Spare Tire
    An aftermarket accessory company connected with Custom Rubber Corp. to source a molded rubber vibration pad.  The molded rubber pad fits inside the v-groove of the large cast metal spare tire bracket and eliminates vibration and rattle when the spare tire carrier is closed.  

    The molded rubber part encapsulates a small metal stamping the Custom Rubber Corp. sourced locally - shown on the top of the rubber part pictured here.  This metal stamping gave rigidity to the molded part and was used to secure the rubber component in the bottom of the v-groove.  The material used for this part is

  • incredibly abrasion resistant and is designed to outlast all the other components in the assembly.
