Rubber
Preferred Rubber offers Custom Rubber technical support through four
degreed chemists on staff. These experienced rubber compounders have
a combined total of 117 years of experience in several key rubber industry
segments: power transmission, electrical applications, automotive sealing,
and potable water applications. They have five compounds certified by
Underwriters Laboratory as meeting the specifications of the National
Sanitation Foundation's Standard 61 for Drinking Water System Components.
A further resource is Preferred's partnership with Gummiwerk KRAIBURG,
a leading German custom mixer, that gives Preferred access to over 3,000
cost-effective recipes, as well as compounding advice for complex applications.

Industries
Biltrite Industries is a leader in technology, with over 55 years of experience
in providing technical compounding services. Biltrite Industries mixes
black and color compounds to meet a wide range of technical requirements.
The company has developed thousands of compounds for a variety of applications,
including automotive, tire plants, mining, hose and belting, military,
railing and general purpose molding.

Portage Precision
Polymers (PPP)
PPP specializes in rubber compound formulationtheir lead development
chemist has over 35 years experience with particular expertise in compounds
for extrusion, various molding applications and mill-mixed FKM. About 90
percent of the compounds PPP mixes are developed from scratch in their
complete laboratory. To complement their Banbury Mixing, PPP added a Specialty
Mill Mixing Line in 2005, giving them the ability to formulate and mix
specialty batches that weigh 75 to 150 pounds.

Kleen Polymers assists Custom Rubber with vibrant, consistent color compounds
for all types of rubbers. By dedicating their facility to non-carbon
black based materials, Kleen Polymers can guarantee pantone matches for
all sizes of production runs. Kleen Polymers has two chemists on staff
with over sixty years of combined experience in compounding for industrial
products.

Wacker Chemical Corporation
SILMIX
Wacker Chemical Corporation SILMIX is a worldwide leader in the development
of silicone compounds in all colors and durometers. The head chemist at
SILMIX has over 25 years of experience in compounding for applications
such as military and automotive exhaust hangers. As a part of Wacker Chemical
Corporation, the SILMIX facility has access to development laboratories
in Michigan and Germany and access to the latest in global developments
for silicone elastomers.

Eagle Elastomer
Eagle Elastomer custom mixes fluoroelastomers with excellent resistance
to chemicals and oils at elevated temperatures. Applications for this
material exist in a large number of industries, including the chemical
industry, gas and oil production, aerospace and automotive to mention
a few. Eagle Elastomer has very close ties with the leading providers
of fluoroelastomers such as Dupont Dow. These ties make even more compounding
expertise available for truly difficult applications. |
